1. Why use filibi over other classified, auction or coupon sites?
Filibi is a community of people who are looking for great bargains, and the perfect place to sell just about any item under the sun (please see our list of permitted sales items) for free and no final fees. We are certainly not asking you to abandon your favorite places to conduct business. We hope you'll use Filibi in conjunction with them as we grow into something very special on the Net.
2. How much does it cost to become a filibi member?
There is no fee to become a member. You can invite others, post free ads and earn commissions. There are only fees if you need more than 4 pictures or purchase a storefront.
3. What are your fees to list classified/auction items?
There are NO fees to buy, bid or sell your items on Filibi.com. There are Cost specifics for additional pictures and purchasing storefronts that are explained here.
4. Do I have to start a subscription to add unlimited items for sale?
NO. Listing at Filibi is FREE and you keep 100% of your profits!
5. How do I find what I'm looking for?
You have several options:
- We offer a "quick search" bar at the top of our pages for you to enter keywords and categories to search.
- We offer an Advanced Search page for you to refine your search criteria.
- If you already know what you are looking for you can browse the categories listed on the left side of the site's pages.
6. How can I earn?
For those looking to make Filibi a home business: First and foremost, selling your items is a great way to earn. We also pay $5.00 for each "Storefront" purchaser that you refer. For each month that your referrals subscribes for their storefront you will make that amount per month. For Example: If you refer 100 people that purchase a storefront, you will earn $5.00 x 100. That's $500.00 from advertisers that you invited. Your earnings will fluctuate monthly depending on how many subscribers you have during any given month. If you decide to make this a serious home business, the potential is there for you to make a serious monthly income.
7. How and when will I get paid?
Commissions will be paid via PayPal or AlertPay. Commissions are currently scheduled to run on the 15th of each month. Be sure to add your PayPal and/or Alertpay email address in your profile.
8. What is the minimum balance I must have to get paid?
The automatic minimum commission payment is $5.00 which is what you earn when you have 1 person subscribing for a storefront. If you have only 1 subscriber at $5.00, you will be paid.
9. How long before I can start earning money?
You can start earning as soon as your account has been verified and you refer other people to sign up from your personal website address, and purchase a storefront or our coupon advertising.
10. How do I pay for an item I am interested in?
For auction items, the seller will specify how they wish to be paid. Most classified ad purchases will be made locally. So, you will call the seller, go see the item, and if you like it, you pay the seller at the agreed-upon price. If you find an item outside your area, you will obviously need to make arrangements with the seller.
11. What if I only have 1 or 2 items for sale? Can I add them for free?
YES! You can list unlimited items in our Classified section and/or our Auction section for FREE. There are no listing fee, no bidding fees and no final value fees.
12. Can you give me ideas about who I could invite?
Basically everyone! Your friends and family are a good start. Print a flier and hang it around town at laundromats, banks, stores, and anywhere else that allows you to post fliers. Create fundraisers for your church, your school, your sports teams, etc. to offer rummage sale type items, or events. Look around your city and see if any business could benefit from selling their items online, or adding a coupon ad, such as car lots, antique shops, novelty stores, pizza and any other restaurants. What about that vehicle for sale in the parking lot? Leave a flier or card. Post comments on Facebook, MySpace, Sokule and others. You can do some online promotions, but be sure never to spam. We provide banner ads for your use online. So basically, you are not limited to your own locale, you can tell people around the globe!
13. I signed up, then my spouse tried to sign up, and your system wouldn't let them. Why?
In order to help prevent fraud, our server tracks IP addresses and only allows 1 IP address per membership. You may have your spouse sign up using a different email account.
14. What is your refund policy?
Please only make your filibi subscription payment when you are sure of what items you will be listing. Once your classified ad, auction listing or printable coupon is live (which is instantly), there are no refunds. If you have not listed any items or coupons, you may request a refund within 24 hours of payment. There are no guarantees that your items will sell.
15. Can I save items to revisit later?
Yes. You can maintain your own "favorites" list within your account. Each listing on
our site has an "add to favorites" link. Simply click that link and we will add that item to your favorites list.
16. What if I can't find what I am looking for?
You can set up search filters within your account area. Our site will
then screen all new listings, as they are placed on the site, and if an item is listed that meets
your filter (search) criteria, we will automatically send you an email notification.
17. How do buyers and sellers communicate with each other?
We provide buyers with the ability to contact the seller through a form that is
accessible on each of the seller's listing pages. The seller will then be notified by email of the buyer's
questions and the seller can either reply by email or log in to their account and reply through our onsite
messaging system. The seller can choose to keep their email address anonymous.
